During the Second World War, and especially because of the numerous Nazi demonstrations in the exhibition hall, the Limpertsberg district is particularly strictly controlled by the occupiers and numerous local collaborators. Of the twelve collaborators sentenced to death, two were from Limpertsberg. However, the mass deportation of families from the neighborhood also testifies to a strong resistance against the Nazi occupiers.
