Janoschs Traumstunde

Family/Book adaptation, Germany 1986

The Frog Prince The frog prince loses his golden ball, a bubble of gold. A girl on the shore catches it for him again. The frog has promised to marry her. But when he gets his ball back, he wants to get rid of the girl. But she follows him to the bottom of the lake. There he puts her in a headlock and the girl turns into a beautiful frog princess. The frog prince had redeemed her in anger. Now both live together in peace The tiger duck and the frog The frog asks the tiger duck if he can kiss her. She is made of wood and a wheel squeaks. So the frog thinks she has said yes and wants to marry her. He pulls her down into the pond by her string. When the frog lets go of the string once, the tiger duck disappears back to the surface of the water and the frog understands that his mate would rather live on dry land, in exactly the kind of room he has always wanted. The frog that flies Once a frog announced that he was going to fly. He had suddenly understood inside himself how to fly. The other frogs laughed. But they all came to see how he would break his neck. Serenely, the frog climbed a plant stem that was like a tall tree to him. At the top he threw everything he had from himself and flew away. Everyone saw it, but they did not believe it.
