In 2007, Do Do, his wife, and their children arrived in the Netherlands as refugees from Myanmar. Filming for this documentary took place in 2014 - seven years after their initial arrival. For Do Do, it seemed like a dream come true to be welcomed to the Netherlands. But adapting to the new culture was hard. He spoke no Dutch, and did not understand the rules that govern life in his new home. As a result, he violated laws that he did not even knew existed. His actions triggered consequences that fundamentally changed the lives of him and his family.
